I’m a self-help devotee who’s obsessed with increasing happiness and finding ways to balance mind, body, and soul. I've studied psychological well-being (also referred to as positive psychology) for over twenty years!
I have always known what interests me, or "speaks to my soul," but I haven’t always chosen careers that align with my higher purpose. Sometimes I let finances dictate my career direction; other times I lacked confidence in myself, which held me back from pursuing my goals wholeheartedly. I felt a profound sense of unfulfillment in every job I had. I’ve worked everywhere from corporate, academia, and non-profit. Nothing seemed to light my soul on fire, and I was burnt out after a year. In each role, I enjoyed seeing others—students, clients, colleagues—living their life's purpose, and I was envious as I watched them reach their goals and achieve happiness. I felt I wasn't living a life that connected with my soul's purpose. I knew something was missing.
I started paying attention to when I was happiest and when I was in a state of "flow," which means being fully immersed in something and feeling energized and challenged while doing it. I LOVE learning how the human mind works, why we do the things we do, and discovering ways to shift a negative mindset and achieve lasting happiness and fulfillment. Coaching is a profession that does just that (and so much more!). I felt my soul calling me toward this profession. Once I started pursuing this path, I felt every aspect of my life fall into alignment.
I started my coaching practice because it combines my interests, experience, and academic background with my soul’s purpose—to help others step into a life of authenticity and fulfillment. Since uncovering my own purpose, I haven’t looked back, and I’ve never been happier! In this profession, I feel completely aligned—mind, body, and spirit. My hope is to share what I know and assist others with discovering their soul-driven purpose.
My educational background and qualifications...
Service and education are the focal points of my academic background. I hold a master’s degree in mental health counseling, a master's degree in social work with a concentration in clinical social work, and a master’s degree in education.
I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), which is the coaching credential earned by those who already hold a master's degree in a helping profession (i.e., social work, counseling, etc.). I specialize in life purpose discovery and career coaching.
I’ve taken several coaching classes through the Institute for Life Coach Training (a CCE and ACTP accredited program). In addition to this, I am a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner through the iNLP Center, a program accredited by the International NLP Association. I am also a NAHA Certified Aromatherapist (Level 1). I am a dedicated life-long learner!
My mission is simple—to help my clients discover their soul’s purpose, increase life satisfaction, and balance all areas of life: mind, body, and spirit. I believe it IS possible to find happiness and live a life that’s fulfilling, challenging (in a good way), and makes you want to wake up in the morning—a life that makes YOU proud!
Are you ready to stop living a dull, unfulfilling life? Is your soul calling you to do something more? Answer that call now! You won't regret it.
